I enjoyed the Dun Cow do, well done sir! All going well, I should be around to catch you and Gary at The Bridge. MICKY.

Hi Keith,

Thanks to YOU for continuing to organise these exchanges, it's lovely to see that there are still some people dedicated to international links in the County!

I hope that Carolyn and Henning have enjoyed their stay in County Durham and that the schools and university visits have gone well. No doubt we will hear all about it from them in due course.

Yes, please do keep in touch regarding any future developments with Tübingen, and I shall do the same.

Best wishes,

Lucy Turzynski,

International Office,

Durham County Council.

Dear Keith,

Thank you very much for the kind words. I enjoyed the trip
to Durham very much and I am full of fond memories. Thank
you for hosting us and for organizing the event in the
Clayport. And please give my greetings to Katrina and Cynthia.

Plese let me know when you will be in Tübingen, if I am in
town, it would be nice to see you.

Kind regards,
Henning
We want to thank Keith Armstrong for initiating our visit, as poets from Tübingen, to our partner County Durham.

The public reading in the Durham Clayport Library was well attended and we enjoyed reading our poetry and talking to Year 12 students at the Framwellgate School and the Durham Sixth Form Centre.

The contact with the German Department of Newcastle University and Prof. Henrike Lähnemann was a great enrichment to our visit.
A workshop 'Poetry and Translation', with our poetry and its translation, was organized for students of translation. It was well attended and very actively participated in.

We especially want to thank you for arranging a meeting for us with the German General Consul Wolfgang Mössinger.
General Consul Wolfgang Mössinger even managed to work the Clayport reading into his busy Durham schedule.

Love,

Carolyn

Henning was impressed with the way poetry was known and talked about by everyone we met.

Nice that he was able to see the rich tradition in the north east.

It was a lovely evening and I think everybody enjoyed it so well done you for organising it all! Marie
